Handheld Echocardiography for Critical Care

This 2-day focused transthoracic echocardiography course is designed for doctors involved in the management of critically ill patients who have a desire to use ultrasound techniques to assess basic cardiac function and LV size, determine the presence of effusions and assess valvular lesions. The program is structured with lectures and case studies during the morning and hands on workshops during the afternoon.

This 1-day course is designed to prepare you for the examination and help you to pass. Important principles of physics and core echo knowledge are revised and taught in MCQ format. Digital clips are used to help you recognise patterns, make diagnoses and grade severities. There is a course handbook and mock examination.
